Hereford road restaurant is a nice cosy restaurant with a lovely interior. Staff are helpful and have attention to detail. Complimentary bread and butter was served before starters arrived. Food was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend the pearl barley with goats cheese and also the pork chop with hispi cabbage. The desserts are nice too.
Came early (6pm), ate great food, went home satisfied. The leek-vinaigrette-walnut entree thing was devoured by the wife in seconds (which given she is a slow eater speaks volumes). I can recommend the onglet (i.e. loin cut). Price was pretty good too…
One of the best set lunches in London right now. Mackerel was cooked to perfection. £16.50 for two courses and £19.50 for three. Go before they put these insanely cheap prices up!
Amazing food - perfectly cooked Guinea fowl and Pork chops. Both meats were of great quality and all of the flavours went together so well. Perfectly seasoned potatoes, courgette and white beans. Good value for money Highly recommend
Food was just okay, nothing exemplary. We had 2 fish dishes, one flavorful (skate), the other (sole) not so much. Pork chop was dry and chewy. Portions are not generous at all. Desserts were the best out of everything. The big issue is the service. No one came by to ask us about drinks or to take our order. We had to flag down the one female waiter. We had to ask for refills on water multiple times. She didn't even give me a new glass for my sparkling water. I had to finish my still water first. We had to ask for bread. Our appetizers and salad came out 15 min apart. Our dinners took over an hour to come out. They were not busy. We had to ask for the check. Passed by several of the staff on the way out and they just ignored us. Maybe we were too young to be dining there? Or, maybe they're just rude and inhospitable.
